Mission Statement

The Mission of Pyramid Lake Jr/Sr High School is to provide a quality education for all students, focusing on academics careers and higher education preparation, and social and personal development, while building self-esteem through Native American cultural awareness conducted in a safe and compassionate learning environment.

We Believe:

Students’ learning needs should be the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the school.

All students can learn.

Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success.

A student’s self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students, staff and community.

A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.

Students learn to make appropriate decisions given a supportive and challenging learning environment.

Culture diversity can increase students understanding of different peoples and cultures.

Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission.
